Digital online marketplace TrueFacet has partnered with seven luxury  brands to offer secondhand jewelry and watches directly to consumers.

The site lists pieces from Zenith, Roberto Coin, Raymond Weil, Fendi Timepieces, Faberge, Frederique Constant and Ernst Benz, which have been previously owned and subsequently inspected and refurbished by the brands. Those companies supply a certificate of authenticity as well as a one-year manufacturer’s warranty, and then ship the purchased item directly to the consumer.

That enables the brands to retain control over their products’ positioning within the secondhand market, while still offering consumers lower prices, TrueFacet explained.

“The solution brings to the jewelry and watch industry a solution that has proven to work wonders for the brand-certified, pre-owned car market,” the retailer said. “TrueFacet at once offers another way to satisfy young, affluent consumers’ appetite for authentic luxury items, at lower prices in the pre-owned market, with complete transparent sourcing direct from the original brand.”

TrueFacet intends to collaborate with more luxury retail brands in the coming months.
