Jewelers of America (JA) has hired two consultants who will focus on enhancing the US trade association’s communications with members and consumers.
Elizabeth Brewer — who was previously in charge of marketing for deBoulle Jewelers, as well as the American Gem Trade Association — will work on improving the JA’s membership engagement, it said last week.
Mark Smelzer, the publisher of JCK (pictured), will work on developing a marketing initiative targeting consumers, which the organization plans to launch in 2019.
“The addition of Elizabeth and Mark in consultant roles will play a big part in our continued commitment to membership growth and consumer marketing, which are essential to our mission to improve confidence in the jewelry industry,” JA CEO David Bonaparte said.
